PRIVACY & DATA HANDLING

Your PDFs stay with you.

tinypdf is designed so the PDF tools work in your browser, without sending document contents to a tinypdf server.

What happens when you choose a PDF

Your browser reads the file from your device and keeps its contents in browser memory while you work. Merge, organize, preview, and compression processing happen on your device. tinypdf does not upload PDF contents to a server.

What we keep

We do not keep your original PDFs, generated PDFs, page thumbnails, or document metadata. There are no user accounts, document histories, or permanent file storage in tinypdf.

Closing or refreshing the page clears the working files held by the tool. A downloaded result is saved only where your browser and device normally save downloads, under your control.

Analytics, cookies, and tracking

tinypdf uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic, such as which pages are visited and whether visitors use mobile or desktop devices. It does not use advertising trackers, cross-site tracking, custom events, or cookies for analytics.

Vercel records anonymous, aggregated page-view data. This may include the page URL, referrer, approximate location, browser and device type, and timestamp. Vercel states that its analytics data is not tied to an individual, customer, or IP address, and visitor session data is discarded after 24 hours.

Website requests and third parties

Like most websites, tinypdf is hosted on Vercel. Vercel processes ordinary technical request data and the anonymous analytics data described above to deliver and operate the site under its own policies. This does not include the contents of PDFs processed in this app.

We do not sell or share your PDF contents because they are not sent to us. No third party receives your document for PDF processing.

Read Vercel's Privacy Policy

A note on your device

Local processing reduces document exposure to a service, but it cannot protect files from other software or people with access to your device. Use a trusted device and review each generated PDF before sharing it.
